Fat Mogul vs. #AmEditing

I’m editing right now…well, you know, not right now, but in a second, whenever I finish writing this post telling you I’m editing.

You see, I really want to finish this book.  I’m really excited about it, and I’m quite close to finishing it…well, you know, sort of…

Besides, once I finish this book, outside of the fact that I can reintroduce myself to the world of agent/publisher rejection letters (didn’t I tell you how I’m going to attempt to find a publisher for this one?), I also get to start working on my next book, which is going to be something completely different for me, set in modern times, without fantastical contraptions of crazy science or superpowers or whatever…in fact, it may contain someone you could consider something of a Luddite…I’ve been working on this story in my head for years now and have been excited to get working on it ever since I figured out its angle a few months back.

And…of course, once I finish that first draft, I can finish Agora Files Part 2…a book that is, well, I think it’s pretty damned spectacular, personally…

But right now, I’m just too excited about what I am working on.  Going through the edits on it, I can’t help but realize how well the insane amounts of research and development I put into the story are actually coming through.. So well, in fact, that it might not even be noticeable to the casual reader (at least I hope not).

I think it’s really something special, even if it is weird and crazy and has the great possibility of getting me the most bad reviews I’ve ever gotten just because of how the twists play out.

But I don’t care, because I love it.

So…I’m going back to finishing that, in lieu of writing any random rant on here today.

I hope you don’t mind.

If you’re looking for something to while away the hours in the absence of my rantings, may I suggest The Rise of the Fat Mogul?  It’s a pretty solid book itself.

Have fun out there!
