If you follow me on Twitter or Facebook or around my house you would have heard me muttering excitement about my intention to complete the final edits on The Agora Files last week. The number of pages left to edit got smaller and smaller on something of an exponential scale. Getting this done last week was of some importance for two reasons. 1. I knew that this week was going to get quickly busy, making it all the more difficult to put the necessary time in. 2. I really really really (yes, three reallys worth of really) want to start working on my next project. I’m quite excited for it…actually the excitement might be more behind the research part of this project than the actual writing, but I’m pretty excited about the writing piece as well.
Anyways, so, things came up and I did not get through the last few pages on Friday. In fact, things continued to crop up and although I was able to dedicate a small amount of time to the editing process this past weekend, I still fell short.
On the bright side, as of this morning, things are looking up for actually being able to complete the book today…but we’ll see.
Of course, this doesn’t mean anything to any of you (unless you joined up to become a beta reader, which, if you are interested and didn’t let me know of your interest, I still have a couple spots left to fill, shoot me a message) as I still haven’t announced a release date. There’s some smaller details, such as cover, distribution platforms, and formatting, that need to be settled before I can feel confident doing so, as I intend to release the book in both ebook and paperback formats simultaneously.
But feel confident, my growing number of followers, The Agora Files will come soon. And before that, I’ll get to finally officially announce my newest project, which might actually see light before the end of the year…by seeing light, I mean you’ll be able to hold it in your hands and read it, even if it may only be available on your kindle-friendly devices. Time will tell…
Alright, I’ve got a lot to do, and not as much time as I’d like to do it in, so I’m off to work.
Have fun out there!
