I’ve been battling a cold for the last couple of days, making life somewhat miserable. Not entirely miserable, but uncomfortable to be certain. I woke up this morning with a nasty Nyquil hangover and was really having difficulty staying on task. . . and then a call came in from the daycare stating that my son’s rash was reaching contagion proportions and he would need to be taken home, and was placed into a play-pen quarantine until such things were taken care of.
Which means. . . I got a nap this morning, and that’s pretty darn cool. Of course, now it would appear that my kid has either impetigo or chicken pox, neither of which will allow him the opportunity to go back to daycare for the rest of the week. . . which means I’m going to have to fight for the opportunity to actually get things done. Which means some things, like the new content I was working on developing for this site, are going to have to take a back seat for the time being. I barely have enough time to get my stuff done as it is, but it’s even more difficult when I have a kid on my lap trying to type while I type. . . which is what’s going on at this very moment.
So, sick day looks like it’ll be sick week. . . trying to get all the things necessary done, but probably very little more than that.
And with that, I’m calling it a short post today. Hope you all have a good one.
