Nasty Potatoes

So, I was trying to come up with something interesting to put in this space today.  All I could think of were the potatoes my wife made last night that must have managed to pull off some sort of grossness from the new oven which made them pretty darn inedible.  However, there’s really not much more to say on that topic. . . so. . . yeah. . .

Hmmm. . . you see, now that I don’t have constant updates to make on word counts, I’m really at a loss as to what to say about the novel.  The rewrite process is moving along quite swimmingly.  Most of the work I’m seeing that needs to be done has to do with voice, or typos.  So, it’s flying past fast.

I do have a couple of queries out there, and have received a couple of rejections already.  However, I believe I’ve already mentioned that on here, and there’s really not much more to say on that topic.  It’s depressing and boring.

I can say, however, that I’ve got several ideas flowing already for books I want to write next.  The outcome of Run! will really determine what occurs with my next writing endeavors.

So, I’m in this odd state of limbo where I’m correcting a book that really isn’t all that bad off.  Buddy had some atrocious issues; Run! has relatively few big ones.  It’s nice, but also kinda boring.  But that’s not really a big deal.  I don’t mind the rewrite process, even if it does get a tad monotonous.  It’s just the fact that there’s nothing too exciting to report that really gets me down.

So, with that in mind, I guess I’m going to close this out early.  Perhaps I’ll have something more exciting to talk about tomorrow.  Wouldn’t that be nice?
