Two Months Later. . .

Jeez, I finally got around to getting back onto the site today and took a look and it has apparently been almost two months since my last post on here.  I feel really bad about it.

Just a few posts ago, I promised I had new creative energies ready to pour into this space…and then I drop away.

I’d love to say that I have been busy working on my projects in progress, but I haven’t.  The last two months have just been insane.  Between taking care of my kids, my job going into overdrive, the holidays, and standard life duties, such as washing dishes, I just haven’t felt like I’ve had any time left at all.

That doesn’t mean I haven’t been doing a great deal of thinking about my projects, but I honestly haven’t made any real forward momentum.

I’m hoping to move forward soon, but it’s been so difficult to even feel like wanting to sit down and write with the lack of interest in Buddy Hero within the literary circles.  Granted, I probably should have done a little bit more research on what the industry might be interested in before spending any time on a super hero non-graphic novel.  Oh well, live and learn.

What that does mean is that I realize I unfortunately shouldn’t put my primary focus on Book 2 of the Defenders Saga for my next project.  I have to admit I’ll probably be spending some time on it anyways because I’m really excited about where that one is going, but in the thought that I may some day actually sell something, I should probably work on something which will sell.  I’ve got a couple of projects I believe fit that bill, ones I’ve got a pretty strong vision on as well, so we’ll see where I go with that when I finally get around to sitting behind a keyboard for any extended length of time.

In other news, I finally moved into the eBook world and now own a Kindle, thanks to Santa.  I had debated it for quite some time, thinking I’d hate it, but once the Kindle Fire came around, I got all hot about it again.  That being said, I requested, and received, one of the older models due to my decision that I’d be more willing to read something utilizing e-Ink over a backlit model.

And I love it.  I worked through The Hunger Games in about a week.  I’m now going to have to put together an entire fund just for purchasing ebooks as I see it as a great possibility that I’m going to be flying through those at some incredible speeds.

Anyhoo, I’ve now reached the end of my free time for the day.  Have a good one!
