So, I don’t know if you’re anything like me, but for some reason from the moment I wake up on Monday morning, I have a hankering for some sort of disgusting mess of food.  So, I figured that meant that Monday would be a good time to show off a little bit of food p0rn.

And there’s never a better place for some Monday munchies than thisiswhyyourefat.com.  My favorite for today are the Redneck Quiches shown to the left over there. . . Eggs inside individual bologna cups topped with mayo and Velveeta cheese.  Doesn’t get much better than that!

So, yeah, bought a house last September.  The place was built in 1901.  Got a few things that, obviously, need to be taken care of.  I’m kinda handy, but, in reality, only in some ways.  Basically, if I do things a few times, I’ll become a pro at it pretty quick, but the first time, is usually a s***-storm.  So, yeah, the insurance company wanted us to install handrails at the front and back steps to our house, gave us a deadline of sometime in June (wife decided to throw away the notice, for some reason) and I’m just now getting to it.  The handrail that was chosen by my significant other is not actually intended to be used for safety, but for decoration.  That’s problem number one.

Anyways, since I’m not all about writing big long expansive messages anymore. . . let’s just say that right now the only reason the handrail that I have gotten installed is still standing is because of the fact that I covered the base pieces in these big decorative rocks.  And even with all of that, it could fall any minute now. . . Here’s hoping the front goes better.

And I do have intentions, as well as a plan, on how to fix the one that’s already installed, just have to get the basics up by June 1st so that I’ve got my bases covered with AmFam. . . but for now, epic fail.

So, been way too busy with work lately. . . had me on a special project and everything.  and then at home was busy doing all sorts of homsie-type stuff.  But now, I’m better, and I’m back, and I feel like writing :-)

So, my current employer offers the opportunity to work from home.  For quite some time now I’ve been debating whether to go home, or stay in office.  Staying in office makes it much easier to be viewed as a possibility for promotions.  Going home allows the opportunity to hide quite a bit more from office politics.  I’ve decided I want to go home.
